My name is Sophia Cowan and I want to make a difference in policy and advocacy for patients. As we know, researchers need money to help fund experiments and they cannot get that without YOUR donations. However, I believe that educating people and telling them about not only blood cancer itself, but the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I think it's important that people know what they are donating to, and also kind of reassuring that LLS has made leaps and bounds in the pat towards this future without blood cancer. My goal is just to make people aware of this organization, and how amazing it's been; and how amazing it can be with your donation. Just remeber: Every penny counts.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

I'm a junior in high school, at Francis Howell High School. I obviously love to dance, and I am ecstatic to be the 3rd president of Dancers vs Cancer, and lead us into our 4th year of fundraising. I have danced since I was 3 at St. Peter's Academy of Dance and I love it there. I have made so many lifelong friends and I am so glad I signed up to dance. I love to bake, listen to music, and be involved at my school. I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
